What happens if I arrive late?
Punctuality is essential to respect the schedule and other participants.
We cannot wait for late guests. If you are late and miss the departure from Trapani, no refund will be provided. To avoid inconvenience, it is recommended to plan your trip with some extra time. If the delay occurs during the tour, you will need to organize and pay for your return to Trapani independently, and you will not be entitled to a refund for the part of the tour not completed.
Remember punctuality is key to fully enjoying your trip with us!
Can I cancel my booking? Will I be charged a penalty?
Booking and Cancellation:
• You can cancel your booking and receive a full refund up to 7 days before the scheduled date of the excursion.
Cancellation within 24 hours:
• After 7 days, but at least 24 hours before the start of the tour, you can request a “cancellation voucher” equivalent to the amount paid, which can be used for another tour within 2 years from the issuance date. To request it, contact us by email at info@egadiescursioni.it
Cancellation less than 24 hours or no-show:
• If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the tour starts or in case of no-show at the boarding point within the specified time, no refund or cancellation voucher will be issued.
What is meant by "Possible technical stop in Favignana"?
The itinerary of the Egadi Shuttle Tour includes the possibility that, from the port of Levanzo, navigation may continue to the port of Trapani, making a technical stop in Favignana first.
This pit-stop in Favignana is primarily intended to allow passengers who only require direct transportation from Favignana to Trapani to board. In other words, if you have purchased a ticket for our Egadi Shuttle Tour, you can relax. You won’t need to change vessels or disembark on the island of Favignana. You can stay comfortably seated, perhaps admiring the scenery, relax, and wait for the departure to the port of Trapani.
Where and how are the stops for swimming made?
All swimming stops are subject to weather and sea conditions, and ultimately the Commander’s discretion. (Safety first!!)
The swimming stops are made directly from the motorboat, so docking at the coves is never permitted, as explicitly stated in the official regulations of the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area. The distance from the coast during the stop ranges from 20 m to 60 m, with the sea depth varying between 3 m and 8 m accordingly.
The motorboat “Costa del Sole” has two ladders for water access, and it is also possible to lower the gangway to sea level to provide another access point to the sea. The “Intrepido”, on the other hand, has two convenient ladders for water access.
What happens in case of bad weather?
If the weather and sea conditions are unfavorable, the Commander will assess whether navigation is safe. If not, we will contact you at least the day before to evaluate together the possibility of rescheduling the excursion to the first available date. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
Are there life jackets on board?
The motorboats are equipped with life jackets, in compliance with the official safety regulations for passenger transport. However, for safety reasons, their use is subject to the express decision of the Commander or crew.
Therefore, life jackets will never be used to allow swimming for those who cannot swim (neither adults nor children), as they must remain available in case of emergency.
