The Free one:
Egadi Shuttle Tour
- Total autonomy
- Duration of stops on land
- Less time on the boat
Do you want to visit Favignana and Levanzo, but you don’t like organized tours and the “all-inclusive” formula, convenient in many ways but too binding for you and your free spirit? The Favignana and Levanzo Shuttle Tour is the only boat tour that offers the possibility to manage independently – and at best – the free time available on the two islands.
Departure from Trapani at 10:30 am. Arrival on Favignana Island and four-hour stop-off of free time to visit the Island in complete autonomy and freedom. Departure towards Levanzo with a panoramic view of the coast reaching the famous Faraglione (sea stack). Stop for swimming in one of its beautiful creeks. One-hour stop-off of free time to visit the characteristic village. Possible transfer of passengers in Favignana. Return to Trapani around 6:30 / 7:00 pm.
Itinerary in detail:
Our boats are the largest and fastest motor ships among those available in the quay of Trapani. The approximately 40 minutes of coastal navigation are comfortable and pleasant thanks to the comfort of the motor ships. During the navigation, you will admire the landscape and listen to the explanation of every detail and curiosity about the islets that you meet leaving the port of Trapani, with destination Favignana.
Once in Favignana you will be able to see the beauty of the small and charming village that is located 3 minutes walk from the port, and then decide in absolute independence and freedom how to spend the free time provided.
We suggest you the following alternatives:
- Bike tour*: it’s possible to rent a bike nearby the point of the motor ship mooring.
- Scooter rental *: it is possible to rent a scooter for half a day and reach the less famous and more distant coves.
- Visit Stabilimento Florio (Florio’s Factory)*: the old Favignana tunas factory, owned by the famous Florio family in the past, is one of the must-see places.
- Egadilandia Tour*: this tour of 1 hour starts from the port and it will take you to the discovery of the island by little train.
* services not included in the excursion price
Relax and enjoy the fantastic view while we’re leaving Favignana en route to Levanzo. The arrival is expected after about 20 minutes of navigation.
From the port of Levanzo, it’s already possible to enjoy the enchanting view of this Mediterranean village, the only inhabited zone on the Island. Smaller than Favignana, the village of Levanzo is charming. Its peculiarity lies in the simple white and turquoise beach houses, visible walking along the few quiet narrow streets that guide you into the residential area.
The visit of Levanzo has a total duration of about 2 hours, during which it is expected:
- the panoramic tour of the coast, sailing up to the Faraglione;
- a stop for swimming in one of the coves of the Island;
- One-hour stop-off on the Island of about 1 hour to visit the quaint village.
The return to the port of Trapani is expected by 6:30 / 7:00 pm.
End of the excursion. Share with us the best moments lived on board using #EgadiCHEscursioni!
N.B.: The timetables in the “Itinerary” section are indicative and may vary. Possible transfer of passengers to Favignana along the return route.

- Along the Marinella quay in Via Ammiraglio Staiti, it is possible to park the car for a fee, using the municipal stalls recognizable by the blue stripes. Arriving a bit before 09:00 am, it is easy to find still available space for your car.
The cost is 1,00€ per hour, but payment is only possible with coins. Therefore, to cover the entire duration of the excursion, it is advisable to take with you approximately 9,00 € (in coins). It is also possible to pay for the ticket through some APPs, such as Dropticket or EasyPark.
- A free Parking area is available in Via Ilio (750 mt from our ticket office). If you decide to leave the car there, please consider the walking time from the parking area to the point of embarkation. Unfortunately, this parking cannot be used on Thursdays due to the weekly market.

You will surely have noticed that the program does not include lunch on board. In fact, you will be back on board around 3:00 pm, and it is assumed that you have already satisfied your appetite!
The four-hour stop-off on the Island and the absence of a “standard lunch” (which tries to satisfy all palates) leave the freedom to choose according to one’s tastes, personal needs, and everyone’s pockets!
You can choose the practical island bakery, with its “cunzato” bread, the typical arancine, bread with panelle, focaccia or Sicilian pizza …. or the romantic local restaurant with its menu based on fresh fish. And for those who are adventurous and independent? Well, not even to say: backpacking and packed lunch immersed in nature, between sun and sea!
As for the departure time, we highly recommend punctuality and suggest arriving at the boarding point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Example: The Egadi Shuttle Tour sets sail at 10:30 am, so you should already be at the port, ready for boarding, by 10:00 am at the latest.
The times listed in the “Itinerary” and “Duration” sections of the trip, on the other hand, are approximate and subject to possible variations. The exact time for returning on board during island stops will be clearly communicated through the intercom system during the excursion.
It’s crucial to understand that the tour stops, navigation, island landings, and the overall travel itinerary are entirely at the discretion of the Captain. This ensures that every decision takes into account various factors, including current weather and sea conditions, maritime traffic, mooring schedules, and, most importantly, the safety of our passengers.
Flexibility is one of the keys to a safe and memorable maritime experience.
So, yes, it is possible that the itinerary may undergo changes, but these decisions are always made with the goal of ensuring passenger safety and providing an enjoyable travel experience, considering all these elements.
During the journey, the Captain and the crew will keep you informed of any possible itinerary modifications.
The return time to the port of Trapani is expected to be around 6:30/7:00 pm, but it may be influenced by various variables, including the number of passengers on board, port traffic, and the resulting mooring schedules.
These schedules, which are the daily directives given to the ship’s command by the relevant authorities, regulate traffic and docking at the Egadi Islands’ ports, and they can affect both the duration of island stops and the return time to Trapani.
So, here’s the important part: the time ashore in Favignana may not be exactly 4 hours, but a bit less, and the total 2 hours between time ashore and panoramic navigation around the Island of Levanzo might be a little more or a little less. These small timing fluctuations depend entirely on port traffic and are beyond our control.
Another significant variable concerns the “Possible transfer of passengers in Favignana” which can impact the return time to Trapani by approximately 20-30 minutes, resulting in a return time of either 6:30 pm or 7:00/7:15 pm.
The itinerary of the Egadi Shuttle Tour includes the possibility that, from the port of Levanzo, navigation may continue to the port of Trapani, making a technical stop in Favignana first.
This pit-stop in Favignana is primarily intended to allow passengers who only require direct transportation from Favignana to Trapani to board. In other words, if you have purchased a ticket for our Egadi Shuttle Tour, you can relax. You won’t need to change vessels or disembark on the island of Favignana. You can stay comfortably seated, perhaps admiring the scenery, relax, and wait for the departure to the port of Trapani.
There is no provision for waiting for late guests, in consideration of the schedule and other participants. Think of it as catching a train or a flight – it’s exactly the same.
If, for any reason, you are delayed and miss the departure from Trapani, it will unfortunately be considered a no-show, and we won’t be able to offer any refunds. This is why we recommend planning your journey with some extra time to avoid inconvenient and unpleasant situations.
If the delay occurs during the tour, at the reboarding stage, you will need to arrange your return to Trapani independently and at your own expense. In this case as well, we cannot offer any refund, not even a partial one, for the part of the tour you couldn’t complete. (It happens to at least one passenger per month… Make sure it’s not you!!!).
Remember, punctuality is the key to fully enjoying your journey with us!
Avoid the queue! By booking online, you will receive an e-ticket by email containing the QR code valid for boarding. Then, to participate in the tour, simply show it from your mobile phone (or print it on paper).
You can cancel your reservation at no cost up to seven days before the excursion. If you cancel your booking after the deadline, you will not be entitled to any refund. Still, you can request a cancellation voucher (equal to the amount already paid) which can be used on a personal basis within two years from the date of issue.
No refunds or cancellation vouchers are due to those who cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure and to those who do not show up within the established time for boarding.
